"SETI: Exploration of Extraterrestrial Intelligence" features real facilities and projects from the late 20th century to the present day. This is an alien life exploration board game with the theme of encounters with alien species that may occur someday!

In SETI: Exploration of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, players play a total of five rounds and only perform one of the main actions on their turn. There are eight actions: launching a probe, putting it into orbit around a planet, landing on a planet or satellite, investigating nearby stars, analyzing data, researching technology, playing cards, and passing rounds. Players advance through the game through a cycle of launching probes, investigating planets, analyzing data, and conducting research. And support them by playing cards and get additional rewards. The over 200 cards are filled with illustrations of real-life technologies and projects, including Swing-By, the MESSENGER spacecraft, and the Large Hadron Collider. In addition, the solar system board reproduces the revolutions of the planets, and the positional relationship between the Earth and the planets changes every moment, so timing is important when launching a probe.

As players complete rounds, analyze data, and investigate, they may discover an alien race. There are five types of alien races with various characteristics in the game, and only two of them appear in a single game, so new developments unfold with each game. After playing five rounds, the game ends, and the player with the most points wins by adding up the points from cards, scoring tiles, and alien races.
