This is an official prayer bead for men of the Shingon sect. There are 108 main beads as the base, and it is made up of two main beads and four heavenly beads. On each side of the parent bead are 10 disciple beads (keiko), and a dew bead is attached to the tip of the disciple bead. The small bead between the disciple bead and the parent bead on one side is called the nadama bead. The mother beads (parent beads) of the one with the Namadama.
