The SMB-01L was created by mastering engineer and PHONON representative Isao Kumano with audio professionals in mind. The goal was to achieve studio large monitor sound with headphones.
You can enjoy the natural ultra-low frequency produced by the newly adopted 50mm driver and the acoustic space produced by PHONON's original technology. The diaphragm operates with good response and low energy loss due to the free edge structure, achieving a frequency response that fully covers the high-resolution band and a wide dynamic range. The tuning technology that PHONON has cultivated over the years has enabled playback sound that is closer to the real sound, and by repeatedly playing various reference discs, we have achieved the best acoustic balance regardless of genre.
