The original Zero, co-created by 7Hz and Crinacle, went down in history as one of the best budget IEMs on the market. Crinacle is a world-renowned reviewer whose frequency graph database changed the audio market forever. Drawing on his prolific experience with IEM and headphone acoustic profiles, Crinacle provided guidance on adjustments to achieve Zero's optimal sonic balance. The updated Zero 2 once again incorporates Crinacle's recommendations and improvements to take this proven model to even greater heights.
The original Zero had one of the best tonal balances in a budget single dynamic driver IEM. However, this tonal balance may have meant toning down the bass for audiences looking for a more exciting sound. The Zero 2 maintains a perfect sonic signature, but adds a 5dB boost to the bass, delivering an engaging and powerful bass that brings your music to life. The bass is definitely more impactful and has more depth, providing texture and tactility to the bass. Additionally, the midrange has slightly more body and warmth compared to the original Zero. The mids are still natural and clean, but the slight warmth in the low mids provides richness to the fundamental frequencies of instruments and vocals.
The improved sonic characteristics of the Zero 2 are achieved thanks to a newly developed 10mm dual-cavity dynamic driver. Equipped with an upgraded PU+metal composite diaphragm, this driver provides faster diaphragm movement for harder bass while maintaining the clarity and precision of each note. With a frequency range of 10Hz to 20kHz, the improvements in the new driver are immediately noticeable.
The Zero 2 has been upgraded with a new high-purity oxygen-free copper cable with silver plating. Arranged in a coaxial construction, each wire is woven with 140.06 and 250.06 windings to strengthen the cable and improve audio transmission. This cable is removable and helps you customize your listening experience as well as improve the lifespan of your IEMs.
