This is a long-selling product that won the 1996 Good Design Award and the 2021 Long Life Design Award. These craftsman-made vessels are made by drying zelkova trees from natural forests in Japan for about 6 months, and then carefully carved by craftsmen in Odawara one by one. The blades used for sharpening are handmade by craftsmen, and every product is made with the heart of the creator, without compromise. We use the same safe urethane paint as the Odawara school lunch bowls. You can enjoy the difference in texture due to the different grain of each piece of wood. A generous bowl that complements your dishes and goes well with Western dishes. The bowl size is large and can also be used as a bowl for tekka bowls, mapo bowls, and udon noodles.
